End of Semester Portfolio

My portfolio took me approximately 24 hours spread over two weeks. I used the fonts "Garamond" and "Vogue" most often, with Garamond as my body text and Vogue as my title text. My cover images (front and back) are maps of Massachusetts and Florida, respectively, covered in flowers, created in Adobe Illustrator. Massachusetts, my home state, is filled with mayflowers (the Massachusetts state flower and the flower of my birth month, May) and apple blossoms, as my hometown of Wilmington is known for its Baldwin apples. The Florida state map is filled with orange blossoms (the state flower of Florida) and sunflowers, my favorite flower.

I chose to keep the color palette of my portfolio largely reflective of the colors found in the software we used - blue for Photoshop, purple for Dreamweaver, orange for Illustrator, and pink for InDesign. I color coded the pages to reflect which program the particular piece was produced in.

  1. Your work is always excellent, but the front and back cover for your portfolio were above and beyond. Both are absolutely gorgeous, and it's clear you put a lot of effort into each. Overall the concept itself is clever, and really adds aesthetic appeal to the portfolio. Great job!
